Mother Wilhelmenia Burch was 78, and departed this life Friday January 1, 2021. She was the mother of Cheryl Gause, Veronica Burgess, Johnny Leon Burch, Elizabeth Ann Burch (deceased), she raised three other children Jermaine Burch (grandson), Monkishia Robinson (niece), Tanyia Carter (niece).
At the request of the family and due to the COVID 19 the family will not be receiving visitors at the home.
Graveside services are scheduled to be held at Old Neck Cemetery, Sunday January 10, 2021 at 2:00 pm. Services will be live streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Wilhelmenia Burch (Menia) was born on 30 November 1942 in Britton’s Neck SC to the late Francenia Dozier and the late Hezikah Graves. Graduated from Bethel High school in 1960. Moved to NY where she meet and then later married the late Johnny Lee Burch. To this union four children were born. She later returned home where she worked at Russell Stovers Candy, Sopakco and Subway. She later joined Bethel AME church where she accepted Christ and became a part of the Youth/Senior Choir and enjoyed taking part in the Senior Connection group.
Menia devoted her life to caring for others and being a beacon of hope which included accepting the duty of raising her grandson (Jermaine Burch) and three nieces (Monkishia Robinson, Tanyia Carter, Peggy Elliott).
Preceding her in death one daughter Elizabeth (Peaches) Burch, one sister Refrances Dozier, and six brothers Earl Dozier, Jack Dozier, Hezikiah Graves Jr., Caldwell Graves, Don Graves, and Roderick Graves
She leaves to cherish her memories three children, Cheryl & Willie Gause of Gresham,SC, Veronica(Fernell) Burgess of Johnsonville, SC, Johnny(Janice) Burch of Columbia, SC, four sisters Norma(Frank) Treadwell SC, Betty (late Frank) Hill SC, Ruth (late Fred) Williams CT, and Debra Graves- FL. Two brothers Franklin (Judy) Dozier NJ and Rev. Frederick(Valerie) Graves SC, three sisters-in-law, Patricia Graves SC, Helen Daniels SC, Theresa Dozier, nine grandchildren, Jermaine(Andrea) Burch, Jamesha Eaddy, Jacobia Dozier-Eaddy, Joshua Burgess, Jarvis Burgess, Kentrell Burgess, Jakeimia Burch, Jalik Burch, Joshua Howard, five great-grandchildren, Jada Burgess, Taylor Burch, Tristan Burch, Mason Burgess, Madison Burgess. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family of Mother Wilhelmenia Burch, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Burch family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
