Wayne Brown Obituary

Brother Wayne Brown was 57, and departed this life Monday January 20, 2020 at his home in Marion County. He was the brother of Warren Brown, Betty J. Brown and Brenda Tillman.

You may visit the family at 333 Moores Mill Rd. Marion.

Wake services are scheduled to held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel Saturday January 25, 2020 at 7:00 pm. Riverside Lodge # 305 will be in charge of rites.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the St. Timothy Missionary Baptist Church in the Wahee Community Sunday January 26, 2020 at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the St. Timothy Baptist Church Cemetery. 

“The Obituary”

Mr. Wayne Brown was born February 4, 1962 in Marion South Carolina to the late Lawrence Brown Sr. and Islee Godbolt Brown.

He attended the public schools of Marion County graduating with the class of 1980. After which he worked in Auto Body Repair and other various jobs until his health failed.

Brother Wayne Brown was a member of the Riverside Lodge # 305 since 2003.

He was a dialysis patient since age 21 attending Fresenius Kidney Care in Marion South Carolina.

Wayne watched over and cared for a number of nieces and nephews. He taught them many lessons which will never be them many lessons which will never be forgotten., especially how to crease a pair of jeans! You wouldn’t have to ask if he was in the room because you would hear him before you saw him. No one knew more than “Dr. Wayne” or told a joke like him.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father and mother, Lawrence Brown Sr. and Islee G. Brown, one nephew; Dradorance J. Davis, one niece Jayla Brown.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories two aunts; Ms. Early Brown and Mrs. Lilly Reid both of Marion, SC, two sisters; Brenda (James) Tillman and Betty J. Brown both of Marion, SC, four brothers; Lawrence (Cassie) Brown, Jr. of Latta, SC, Jacob (Alice) Brown, Warren (Dale), Brown and Kennedy ‘Allen” Brown all of Marion, SC, one goddaughter; Ronnaysia Brown and one godson; Jeremy Davis, a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
