Brother Walter Lee McDuffie Jr. was 76 and departed this life Friday November 4, at his home in Marion County. He was the husband of Rosa Mae McDuffie, the father of Angela Hill, Shawn McDuffie, Wanda Nichols, Dr. Trinnette Nichols and Patricia Gibbons. You may visit the family at 125 Pee Dee Circle, Marion.

Walter Lee Mcduffie was born in Marion, South Carolina on February 3, 1946, to the late Walter Lee Mcduffie and Hilda Williams. He departed this earthly life on November 4, 2022, at his home.

He attended public school of Marion County. He was a Truck Driver for 40 years until he retired in 2008. He was a Natural Cowboy. He loved horses, chickens, and gardening. He loved to cook and loved his grandchildren and great grands dearly.

Walter Lee is preceded in death by two sisters Alberta Adams, Hattie Bell Evans and two brothers Langford Williams and Jerome Williams.

Walter Lee leaves to cherish loving memories: his wife Rose Mae Mcduffie, one daughter Angela Hill of Marion, SC, Shawn Mcduffie of Columbia, SC. Stepson Gregory Ritter of Marion, SC, Stepdaughters: Wanda Nichols of Marion SC, Patricia Gibbons of Marion SC, and Dr. Trinnettee Nichols of Fayetville NC. Two Sisters: Emma Potts of Marion SC and Patricia Moody of Marion SC. One brother James (Jeanette) Williams of Marion SC and the Spry Family Four sisters in law and three brothers in law. Ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family of Brother Walter Lee McDuffie Jr. in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community,  will hold a 100 person or less funeral service for their loved one with interment immediately following. While the McDuffie family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
