Vincent I Brown, Sr.

Bro. Vincent Brown departed this life Thursday, February 6, 2020 in Phoenix, Arizona. Bro. Vincent Brown was the father of NaKeisha Baptiste, Vincent Brown, Jr. and Keonka Brown.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel Friday February 28, 2020 at 11:00 am. Brother Vincent Brown will be laid to rest at the Florence National Cemetery, Florence, SC. 

~ Obituary ~

Vincent Brown was born on January 7, 1957 in New York, New York in the Harlem neighborhood and grew up in Brooklyn, New York.  He was the son of the late Irving and Alberta Brown. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 6, 2020 in St. Josephs Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona.

Vincent spent a career in the United States Marines Corp as a Rifleman and was retired as a honorable Marine.  He later moved his family to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina where he spent most of his life. Later, he moved to Phoenix, Arizona with his daughter, Nakeshia to be cared for after he became ill. 

He loved fishing, golfing, watching sports and spending time with his family and friends.

Vincent was preceded in death along with his parents; his beloved wife: Jannie L. Brown; his siblings: Melvin Brown, Darryl Wallace, and Gracie Brown.

Vincent leaves to cherish his loving memories ~ his daughters: Nakeshia Baptiste, Keonka Brown Bristol, and son: Vincent Brown Jr; daughter-n-law: Stacey Minter; son-n-law: Christopher Bristol; father-n-law: William Bosket; sisters: Mary Brown and Roszina Brown; brother: Irving Brown Jr; sisters-n-law: Johnnie M. White, Lydia Gallishaw, Cynthia Harvey, Ellen Young, Wanda Jarrott, Gail Johnson, Barbara Melvin, Linda Bennett; brothers-n-law: Terry Melvin and Cornell Melvin; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
