Sylvia Jackson Obituary

Sis. Sylvia Ann Jackson, 49, departed this life Wednesday October 24, 2018 in Florence County. She was the mother of Marcus Jackson and Martique Davis. You may visit the family at 511 Mullins St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Sunday October 28, 2018 at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the Resthaven Cemetery, Dillon SC.

Obituary~

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” II Timothy 4: 7-8

Sylvia Ann Jackson was born May 20, 1969 to the late James Jackson Jr. and Daisy Mae Scott. 

She worked several jobs which included: Home Heath, Pines Nursing Home, Dillon, SC, Sunny Acres of Fork SC, Russell Stover Candies in Marion, SC, Datwayler Plastics in Marion, SC, McLeod Hospital in Florence, SC, Pee Dee Community Action Agency Partnership Headstart in Marion, SC.

She was a member of the Red Cross, Board of First Steps in Marion, SC and Strengthen Families Teachers.

She loved to travel and was very people oriented. She enjoyed helping others, but most importantly she loved God.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Lonnie Legette Jr. and James Jackson Jr., brother in law David Davis, sister-in-law Lisa Davis .

She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories her son, Marcus Jackson, and her daughter, Martique Davis, both of Marion SC, one grandchild, Bryson “Grandma Baby” Howard, her former husband, Mr.  Marty Davis of Marion SC, her mother, Daisy Mae Scott, three sisters: Janie Scott of Florence, SC,  Jackie Scott of Marion, SC,  and Joann Eddy of Cheraw, SC, three brothers: Archie (Lalta) Jackson, James Scott, and John Israel all of Marion, SC. Special in-laws: Johnnie (Arnetha) Davis, Darlean (Kenneth) Davis, Michael Davis, Annette Willis, Maggie Fling, Victoria Davis of Centenary,SC. Adopted sisters Glindelyn Bethea of Latta, SC, Victoria Mcbrayer of Charlotte, NC, Cora Bryant of Mullins, SC, adopted parents Wilbert and Mamie Legette of Marion, SC, LeCarol Ford of Marion, SC, Martha and Herbert Nelson of Marion, SC, Patricia and Winn Ford of Marion, SC, three adopted daughters: Macy Gerald, Kendra Cusack both of Marion, SC, and Joconnie William of Highpoint, NC, a host of nieces and nephews and friends, along with some special friends: The Campbell and Simpson Families.
