Sister Tommie Jean Grant was 67, and departed this life on Saturday August 22, 2020 in Florence County. You may visit the family at 611 Edgar St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Saturday August 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at the Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Tommie Jean Grant known as (Mo Mo) departed this earthly life on Saturday August 22, 2020 at MUSC Florence South Carolina. She was born June 23, 1953 to the late Edith Woods, and Junior Brown.

She attended Marion County Schools in Marion South Carolina. She was employed with Russell Stovers Candy for many years, until plant closed down. Tommie loved, and help any and everyone.

She was a member of Door Of Hope Christian Church in Marion South Carolina.

Tommie had three brothers percede her in death: Allen(Roy) Woods, Cleo Brown, and Anthony Brown.

Tommie leaves to cherish her loving memories: her son Robert Grant of Georgia. A niece that she raised as her daughter: Edith Hemmingway. Two sisters: Lena (Willie) Benjamin, and Jeanette (Damien) Morrisey of Marion South Carolina. Five brothers: Freddie ( Annie Ruth) Woods of Marion, Franklin Brown of Marion, David Brown of Marion, Alton Brown of Marion, and Rev. Ernest Brown of North Carolina. Two special nieces: Jennifer Hemingway of the home, and Kimberly Hemingway of Marion South Carolina. Two special nephews: Christopher Hemingway, and Steven Woods of Marion South Carolina. A very special friend she loved as a daughter Mary Waiters of Marion South Carolina. A host of nieces, Nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family of Sister Tommie Jean Grant, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Grant family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
