Sister Sheryl Marie Lewis was 52, and departed this life Saturday April 10, 2021 in Florence County. She was the wife of Blake Lewis. You may visit the family at 2812 Capps Corner Rd. Mullins.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Henry L. Jackson Memorial Park on Saturday April 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at the New Graveyard Cemetery, Marion. Services will be live streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Mrs. Sheryl Marie Crawford-Lewis, affectionately, known as Sher-Re, was the daughter of the late Mr. Richard Sherwood & Shirley A. Riggins-Crawford, she was born May 13, 1968 in Marion SC. She heard the call of her Lord and Savior on Saturday April 10, 2021 in MUSC Hospital in Florence, SC.
Sheryl, received her education in Marion County Public Schools, known as Terrell’s Bay High School, class of 1986. After graduation Sheryl was employed with Russell Stover’s Candy, later she was employed with Dewayler until her health failed. She became a patient of dialysis at Fresenius Kidney of Care and later transfer to DaVita Marion Towne Dialysis of Marion, SC; where she fond and loving to many.
Sheryl, accepted Christ at an early age. She joined Bethlehem AME Church, Rains SC. Where she sang on the Junior Choir and the Young adult Choir. She was also a member of the Community Prayer Band. She later joined The Door of Hope Christian Church, Marion SC. Sheryl loved her Pastors and her church family.
Sheryl was giving, caring, and funny. She had a new found love for cooking and shopping. During this season of Covid-19 pandemic. She develop a love for collecting Lysol Spray and wipes for cleaning to share with many family and friends.
Sheryl was joined in Holy Matrimony to Norman Blake Lewis of Mullins, SC. She leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories her husband Norman Blake Lewis, her children James(Ashley)Crawford of Florence SC, Takeshia(Keith)Lewis of Mullins, SC, Elliot(Courtney)Lewis of Conway, SC, Latoria Owens of Mullins, and Devin Crawford of Friendship SC. A special Godson, Ra’Sheane Nichols of Columbia, SC. Grandchildren: Kiersten, Keymya, Takaya, Khloe, Ariyanna, Kason, Konner, and Bryce. Three Brothers, Richard(Barbara)Crawford, of Augusta, GA.; Fredrick Crawford of the home, and Lesile (Tosha)Crawford of Rains, SC. A special nephew Noah Crawford of Florence, SC. A host of Relatives, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many friends. Special Friends: Frances Fore of Marion, SC; Elisa Williamson of Penderboro, SC; Edna Gerald of Marion, SC; Sherelle Williams of Friendship, SC; and Mary Davis of Marion, SC. In addition to her immediate family she was a mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many in the community.
The family of Sister Sheryl Marie Lewis in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Lewis family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
