Sis. Sherry Lorraine Ransom was 55, and departed this life on Saturday September 12, 2020 at her home in Marion, SC. She was the mother of LaToya and LaTonya Ransom, the daughter of Maggie Roberts and Earl Godbolt Jr.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Friday September 18, 2020 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion. The family will provide a guest list of 50 or less people.

Sherry Lorraine Ransom, the daughter of Maggie Roberts and Earl Godbold Jr. of Marion South Carolina, she was born in Marion South Carolina on July 17, 1965. She departed her life of Saturday September 12, 2020 in Marion South Carolina. She made her home in Marion South Carolina.
After graduating from Marion High School, she worked with So-Pac-Co in Mullins, then the Marion Police Department as a crossing guard. She loved the kids, and they loved her.
She leaves to cherish fond memories, her mother Maggie Roberts, her father Earl Godbold Jr., two daughters; LaToya Ransom and LaTonya Ransom. Two sisters; Beverly Graves (Darren) and Iris Legette (Nick) all of Marion. Two special aunts; Annie M. Grice and Joann Reaves, many more aunts, cousins, nieces and uncles. Special niece; Kelsey Samuel, special nephew; Travis Graves, other relatives and friends.
The family of Sis. Sherry Lorraine Ransom, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Ransom family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
