Brother Sandy Barr Jr. was 71, and departed this life Sunday April 2, in Marion County. He was the father Sedrick Barr Sr., Tammy Barr Peterson, Jaheim Brown and Castell Brown.

Public viewing will be Thursday April 6, at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel 5:00pm-7:30 pm

Funeral services will be held at the CD Joyner Auditorium on Friday April 7, at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Spring Branch Baptist Church Cemetery. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Sandy Barr Jr. aka Sweet Stan & 5 Five Star General” was called home April 2, 2023 at MUSC in Marion SC. Sandy was born September 14, 1951 to the late Sandy Barr Sr. and Ruth Jackson Barr.

Sandy was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Ann Barr, and his grandson Tyriese Barr “Duce”.

Sandy worked for Roof Tech for a numerous amount of years. Sandy loved music, dancing, sitting around having a great time, and talking smack! Sweet Stan lived a full life and enjoyed every moment of it. There was no shame in his game! He always said “ I’m a ladies man”.

Sandy leaves to cherish his loving memories one daughter Tammy ( Bobby) Barr Peterson aka “Boobie” of the home, three Sons Sedrick Barr Sr., of Marion SC, Castell and Jaheim Brown of Brooklyn NY, three special grandchildren of the home Kyera “Nelly” Ti’Layzha “Tuts” and Travis “King Tut”, one great grand of the home Ky’Jel Cochran “Nank”. Grand kids Charmayne, Keyshonna, Ra;Quawn, Shadedra, Sedrick Jr, Jase, Cordell, Breonna, Jada, Keonda, Kataya, Amya, and Yazmine. (10) great grands. Siblings David, Charles, Sherman, Ernest, Willie, Sandy Lee, Earl, Sandra and Ola. Special- in- laws Bishop Jr., James, Haynes, Bobby, Rose, Gloria, Brenda, Nancy, dianne, Vanessa, and Henrietta. Special friends Linda Steele “Raz”, Gene Stanley, Lorenza Hemingway and Bridget Stackhouse. A very special lady who brought happiness in the last months of his golden years Ms. Patricia Campbell. A host of other relatives and friends.
