On the evening of Monday Sept 28, 2020 an angel stood by her beside and whispered “Well done my Servant”. Ruth Barr was born on May 19, 1934.
Employed at Halsey Drug, Brooklyn NY for 37 years, 1959-1996.
Born to the late Issac and Gussie Jackson
She was preceded in death by six brother and three sisters who proceed her in death.
Leaves to cherish her loving son Sandy Barr Jr. (of the home) to her BKA “Bae” .
Her Late Daughter -n-law Joyce Graves Barr Her Crazy but sweet God daughter Teresa (of Brooklyn, NY)
The apple of her eye her only granddaughter Tammy (Bobby) Barr Peterson (of the home).
3 grandsons (her amigos) Sedrick Barr Sr. (of Marion SC), Castell Brown (of Queens, NY) and Jaheim Brown (of Queens, NY).
A loving and devoted fighting partner, venting partner, and only sibling living her Sister Anita Grice, (of Dillon, SC)
14 great grands, 4 great great grands, with another great great grand on the way!
Special Friend of Marion SC Mrs. Pearl Peterson who would come and sit with her and get her dancing and cutting up. Some days sit in the yard.

The family of Mother Ruth Jackson Barr, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Barr family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
