Bro. Rudolph Vance Johnson, 74, departed this life on Friday July 13, 2018 in Florence County. He was the husband of Mollie Johnson. You may visit the family at 2107 Malibu Court, Mullins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Friday July 20, 2018 at 1:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

~A Time to be Born~

Rudolph was born on Tuesday, March 7, 1944. He was the eldest child of the late Needly Vance and Alma Johnson of Duford, South Carolina.

~A Time to Learn~

He was reared in Horry County and attended the Horry County and attended the Horry County Public Schools. Rudolph was employed with the city of Mullins, SC from 1964 until his retirement in 1999 after thirty-five years of loyal and faithful service.

~ A Time to Love~

Rudolph me and married Mollie M. White in January of 1964. Although this union was blessed with eight beautiful children only four survived child- birth.

~A Time to Serve~

As a child, Rudolph attended his family church, Hill Chapel, this would be the church that he would dedicate his life to Christ at fourteen years old. Later in life he would join and remained a member of the Everbee Masonice Lodge #331 until his demise.

~A Time to Die~

Rudolph Johnson began his journey into eternity on Friday July 13, 2018. God saw his servant was tired and he whispered, “Well done thy good and faithful servant, I will give you peace and rest.” God called him from McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina.

~A Time to Mourn~

Rudolph was preceded in death by ~a sister: Willie Wee Johnson; two brothers-in-law: Robert White and Liston White; two sisters-in-law: Doris Farmer and Margaret Weeks; one grandson: Toliver Legette and one great-grandson: Kelvin Daniels Jr.

~A Time to Heal~

Rudolph leaves :  cherish his fond and loving memories ~ his loving and devoted wife: Mollie Johnson; three daughters: Dianne Johnson of the home, Juanita (James) Washington of Mullins, SC and Phobe (Dwayne) Legette of Marion, SC; one son: Kelvin (Scherrie) Johnson of Duford SC, nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one special grandchild: Shantel Johnson whom he loved and reared in the home since birth; one brother James Lee (Ada) Johnson of Duford, SC; three sisters: Gussie (Harvey) Bellamy, Mary E. White both of Duford, SC, Alma (Elder Raymond) Johnson of Mullins, SC; two sisters-in-law; Minnie White and Ethel Sanders both of Mullins, SC; three brothers-in-law; Richard White, John Wesley Sanders both of Mullins, SC, and Grady Farmer of Pinetop, NC; a longtime friend: Mack Arthur Leonard whom he would always talked to; two  special cousins, Harry and Alfonza Jarrott both of Charleston, SC; a loving aunt: Sally Longs of Springfield, OH; Rudolph ” will also be remembered by a host of other relatives and friends who will remember his smiles and laughter-when he wasn’t sleeping in his truck; EVERYONE knew how he loved to pull over in his truck to take his “naps
