Robertha Walls Obituary

The family of Sister Robertha Bostick Walls, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Walls family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.

Sister Robertha Bostick Walls was 78, and departed this life Monday April 20, 2020 at her home in Marion, SC. She was the mother of Linda Walls, Lueann Walls and Robert Walls. You may visit the family at 105-D Silver Trace Apts. Marion. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the H.L. Jackson Memorial Park (bedside funeral home) on Sunday April 26, 2020 at 1:00 pm. She will be laid to rest at the Old Ford Cemetery, Gresham. The family will provide a guest list. 

~ Obituary ~ 

Psalm 90: 1-3: Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.  Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God. Thou turnest man to destruction; and sayest, Return, ye children of men.

On February 27, 1942, Robertha Bostick was born to the late great Lemar and Theda Bostick in the St. Paul-Friendship Community of  Marion County, SC.  Robertha attended Terrell’s Bay schools in Centenary, SC.  In  her adult life, she attended the Marion-Mullins Vocational Educational Center.

On May 26, 1960, Robertha wedded Matthew Walls, the son of the Late Rev. Sammuel, Sr. & Meller Walls of Bucksports, SC. Robertha is the mother of seven beautiful children. Linda Ann, Lueann, Robert Earl, Janice, Jonathan, Terry and Galen.  Robertha was also the mother of a vast number of children that she loved and raised as her own. It goes without saying that “Bert” has touched and impacted the lives of many,  and according to Adam, “That’s The God’s Heaven Truth”.  

Robertha leaves to cherish her fond and loving memories to her grandchildren: Sharon, Robert, Jr., Antonio, Darissa, Jim, Sammuel, III, Charis, and Chelsea.  Great grandchildren: Mayaka, Talayah, Darrin, Samara, Karli, and Rowan. Her adopted family:  James Bethea, Sr., Mary, Regina, Felicia, Stacia, James, Jr. Malcolm, and Corey, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Robertha also leaves her loving siblings: Ruby, Barbara, Albertha, Betty, Nelson, Gusand, Jimmy, Diann, and Penny, two sisters-in-law: Richarleen and Mildred, three brothers-in-law: Earnest, Sammuel, Sr. and Sammy Lee, sister/cousins: Flossie, and Janie Mae,  special friends: Betty, Rosa, and Reonia, one uncle Lecarson, one aunt, Dessie, one great aunt, Laura, and a trusted caregiver and beloved friend, Ms. Lois Mullins.  We just can’t thank you enough. A true servant of God.
