Randy Williams Obituary

 Brother Randy Ronald Williams was 66, and departed this life Tuesday January 17, in Florence County. He was the husband of Mae Belle Williams. You may visit the family at 2465 S. Robeson Ave. Florence.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethlehem Baptist Church, Marion on Saturday January 21, at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Jackson & Daughters Cemetery.

 

On January 17, 2023, at McLeod Regional  Medical Center, God wrapped his arms around Randy and welcomed him to his eternal home.

~ Obituary~ 

Randy Ronald Willams was born November 30, 1956, the third child of the late Jessie and Katherlene (Graves) Williams of Centenary, South Carolina. He was baptized at Bethlehem Baptist Church on March 18, 2001, where he was a faithful member. He served as trustee, church bus driver and a member of the Male Chorus. Randy was also a faithful supporter of New Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Lake City, SC, where he served as the treasurer of New Bethlehem’s Men of Purpose Ministry.

He was a faithful member of Masonic Order of New Hope Lodge # 335 of Centenary, South Carolina for 41 years, where he was the Senior Warden.

Randy received his education in the Marion County School System. He graduated from Rains-Centenary High School in 1975. He received his Radio and Television Electronics Degree from Florence-Darlington Technical College in 1977. During his career journey, he worked at Raytech as an electrician and drove trucks for several years. However he found passion working as an electrician at Florence-Darlington Technical College before retiring in 2021.

Randy was joined in holy matrimony on June 10, 2010, to Maebelle Alston. He is the father of four children and grandfather of four. He is adored by many and affectionately known as Uncle Randy/Uncle C/Grandaddy Randy. He was always available to give encouragement, loving words, and a good laugh.

Loved ones, friends, and neighbors have so many precious memories of Randy. He enjoyed motorcycling, racing, deer hunting, fishing, gardening, bird watching and feeding, bike riding and golf cart riding.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Katherlene Williams, his sister, Connie Williams, and son, Jamar Williams.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories, his wife Maebelle; three children; Randy Ronald Brantley and Acey Harps of Atlanta, GA, and Mekia (Jermaine) Burgess of Columbia , SC, five grandchildren: Jordan Burgess, Khamden Burgess, Chase Burgess of Columbia, SC, R’eonna Arnold and Akori Brantley of Atlanta, GA, four siblings: Joetha Kenney of Marion, SC, Leonteen (Karl) Howard of Augusta, GA, David (Patricia) Williams Sr. of Centenary, SC, and Kenneth Williams of Atlanta, GA; father-in-law: Samuel Alston of Lake City, SC, two brother-in-laws; Samuel E. Alston of Lake City, SC and Charles (Rometa) Alston of Lorton, VA; one sister-in-law: Margaret (Don) Graham of Lake City, SC a special goddaughters: Morshell & Le’Aria Davis of Hemingway, SC; special friends: Priscilla, Jonnathan and Breanna Reed and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and church family.

The family of  Brother Randy Ronald Williams in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community,  will hold a 100 person or less funeral service for their loved one with interment immediately following. While the Williams family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
