Randolph Dixon Narciso

 Sergeant First Class (Retired) Randolph Dixon Narciso, 93 , departed this life on Saturday May 26, 2018 at his home in Marion County. He was the husband of Mable Narciso, the father of Angela Harps, Arteshia McFadden, Veronica McClam, Alberta Narciso, Angela Narciso, Randolph Narciso and Jo'se Narciso. Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the St. John AME Church, Marion on Friday June 1, 2018 at 10:00am. He will be laid to rest in the Florence National Cemetery, Florence SC.

The Honor Guards of Florence will be in charge of military rites.

On Saturday May 26, 2018 at his residence in Marion, South Carolina, God in His infinite wisdom called Randolph Narciso from labor to   reward.

 Mr. Randolph Dixon Narciso, known as Mr. Randy was born in Bluefield’s Nicaragua, Central America on July 27th 1924 to the late Robert and Alberta Narciso. He was raised by his grandmother Dorcas Kelly who he loved and cherished very much. Mr. Randy accepted Christ at an early age while living in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Mr. Randy attended the public school, but at an early age he had to quit school to help take care of his grandmother and younger sister. He also worked with a Chinese family that became his extended family and when they moved to the United States to live in New Orleans in 1951 they sent for him where he then enlisted into the U.S. Army and received his GED.

Mr. Randy joined the U.S. Army in 1951 and served as a medic specialist to the rank of Sergeant First Class. During his time in the service he served in Korea, Germany, and Turkey. He also served in these following states Valley Forge, PA, Walter Reed, DC, Fort Sam Houston, Antonio Texas, Fort Eustis, VA, Fort Dix, New Jersey and Fort Jackson,  Columbia, SC. During his time in service he was honored with the  National Defense Medal, Korea Medic Medal, Good Conduct, Vietnam Medic Badge and also the Bronze Star in Vietnam. He retired from the United States Army after serving twenty four years .After retiring from the United States Army; he then went to work for Fiber Industry where he retired from there after being        employed with them for ten years. Mr. Narciso joined St. John AME Church thirty five years ago .He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans –Lt .James B. Miller Chapter21 in Marion County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandmother.

He leaves to cherish his memories -his loving wife: Mable Narciso; seven children: Angela (Anthony) Harps, Arteshia (Doni) McFadden, Veronica (Ron Gee) McClam of Latta S.C,  Alberta Narciso ,Florence S.C ,Angela Narciso, Marion S.C, Randolph D. Narciso JR. Washington D.C. ,Jo’se (CaSandra) Narciso, Columbia S.C., and a grandson that was raised as his son Antonio Narciso, Marion S.C. He also leaves to cherish three sisters Erdene Narciso, Mary Narciso, Ines Narciso ,two Brothers Agusto Narciso, Robert Jr Narciso all from .Bluefield, Nicaragua He leaves to cherish a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish 50 nephews, 21 nieces and other relatives and friends.
