Preston Maurice Gerald Sr.

Brother Preston Maurice Gerald Sr. was 46, and departed this life on Monday March 28, 2022 in Marion County. He was the father of Preston Gerald Jr. , Angel Gerald and Shameira Davis, the son of Bernard Gerald and Arlene Hightower Gerald.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Door of Hope Christian Church, Marion on Wednesday April 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

On March 28, 2022, God in his infinite wisdom saw fit to take out of this world, our beloved Preston Maurice Gerald, Sr.

Preston was born August 27,1975 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Mr. Bernard and Arlene Gerald.

Preston was educated in the public schools of West Palm Beach Florida, and Marion County.

Preston was employed at Leisure Pools in Marion, SC where he was a faithful and dedicated worker.

Preston absolutely loved his family, especially his beautiful grandbaby Ryleigh. Ryleigh was his pride and joy, his little muffin. Preston was truly an extrovert. He loved interacting with his family and friends. Preston was always willing to lend a helping hand to whomever, whenever he was around no matter the task. Preston was a wonderful cook. He really enjoyed cooking out, and deep-frying fish at our family get togethers. Our Beloved Preston will certainly be missed. 

Preston leaves to cherish, his fond memories, his parents: Bernard (Annette) Gerald of Mullins, SC, Ms. Arlene Hightower Gerald of West Palm Beach, Fla., one brother-Darrell (Latasha) Gerald of West Palm Beach, Fla., two sons-Mr. Preston Gerald, Jr. of the home, Mr. Deshaun Warner of Marion, SC, two daughters- Miss Angel Gerald of Marion, SC, Miss Shameria Davis of Marion, SC, one granddaughter-Little Miss Ryleigh Legette of Marion, SC, two aunts-Celestine Crawford of Marion, SC, Elder Sabrina (Bill) Johnson of Marion, SC, one uncle Derrick Gerald of Mullins, SC, one nephew, two nieces, and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

The family of Brother Preston Maurice Gerald Sr. in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Gerald family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
