Brother Phillip Leroy Johnson was 43, and departed this life Wednesday January 27, 2021 in Marion County. He was the son of Phil Johnson and Verdella Johnson, the father of HaSann Johnson and Ty Howard.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Sunday February 7, 2021 at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion.

Phillip Leroy Johnson,43 of Marion, South Carolina departed this earthly life on Wednesday, January 27, 2021at MUSC. He was born to Phil Johnson and Verdella Johnson on February 07,1977 in Marion, South Carolina.
Phillip aka “Yank” attend Marion High School, later in life he received his Ged. He was employed by Fuddruckers and Bojangles. He was the life of the party always making you laugh.
He had one son to predecease him to death.
Phillip leaves to remember his memories: His mom Verdella Johnson, dad Phil Johnson of Marion, SC. His two sons Hasaan Johnson of Mullins, SC and Ty Howard of Marion, SC. Two sons he raised Jamone Legette and Ty Quan Vereen of Mullins, SC. Sister’s Jenell (Alton) Baker, Casandra Johnson, and Krystal Johnson all of Marion, SC. Brother’s Quentin Johnson and Gabrial Johnson of Marion, SC. Special stepmother who helped raised him, Mary Stanley of Calabash, NC. A special friend Laura McCullough, of Marion, SC. Forever brothers Israel, Tony, Corey, Timothy, Orlando, Twain, and Calvin. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncle, cousin, other relatives, and friends that loved.
The family of Phillip Leroy Johnson in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Johnson family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
