Patricia Hines Johnson was born on March 29, 1945, to the late Robert and Annie Rea Hines. She made her transition from earth to glory to be with her Heavenly Father on April 12, 2022, at her home in Marion, South Carolina.
“Ms. Pat” successfully graduated from Johnakin High School, Class of 1963. She was a cheerleader. She didn’t like math! After high school, Mother Johnson became a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) starting out in Marion Memorial Hospital. She will be greatly remembered for her acts of kindness and patience shown to everyone of her patients. She trained future nurses and CNAs. She was formerly married to Reverend Dr. Willie R Johnson, together they have the beautiful daughter Raenette Johnson of Marion, SC.
Ms. Patricia Johnson joined the Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church many years ago and served over 30 years in whatever capacity was needed. Mother Johnson loved the Lord Jesus Christ and she was not ashamed to tell anyone. She loved cooking tasty meals, watching television shows such as Texas Walker Ranger and game shows. She liked sleeping with her hands on her waist like Al Bundy and yelling “BINGO”.
Patricia Johnson was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Lenair Johnson, her sisters Mary Ila Waiters and Arletha Hines.
She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: one loving sister, Jacqueline Bethea of Marion, SC; one loving and devoted brother, Jack (Genine) Davis Jr. Of Washington, D.C.; four God-sisters: Sandra Bethea and Betty Inman of Marion, SC, JoAnn (Larry) Langdon of Maryland and Bessie (Ervin) Burrell of New York; one loving and devoted daughter, Raenette Johnson of Marion, SC; one daughter-in-law, Joyce Johnson; two loving sons, Kelvin (Natasha) Gurley of Des Moines, Iowa and Kenneth Johnson of (Tammy) Baltimore, Maryland; special cousins, Lorine Nichols and Faye Davis; twelve grandchildren: Patrice, Teairra, Deven, Patrick Jr., Shameirra, Remeirrez, Zerrick, Zavier, Harlem, Gia, Ezra, and Seriya; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
