Brother Myles Jordan Ferris was 26, and departed this life Sunday June 27, 2021 in Florence County. He was the son of Luke & Maure'e Fore Brunson and Norman & Laulitha Ferris, the father of Kaylee Ferris and the fiance' of Alexis Faulk. You may visit the family at 6712 N. Hwy. 501, Latta.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Thursday July 8, 2021 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at the Florence National Cemetery. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page. 

~ Obituary~ 

Corporal  Myles Jordan Ferris was born on August 30, 1994 to Maurèe Brunson and Norman Ferris. He departed this earthly life and entered into a new life on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, South Carolina. 

Myles was educated in the Marion County Public School system and graduated with the Marion High School Class of 2012. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp., where he proudly served until 2016. Since his honorable discharge from the USMC, Myles worked as an over-the-road driver for Swift Transportation but his final place of employment was Barrier Reef as a truck driver.

Myles was preceded in death by his god-mother, Elsie Fore.

Myles leaves to cherish fond and loving memories ~ his only daughter: Kaylee Jordyn Ferris of Aurora, NC;  his parents: Maurèe {Luke} Brunson of Marion, SC and Norman {Loulitha} Ferris of Cameron, NC; maternal grandparents: Margaret Fore and Elijah {Lois} Brown of Marion, SC; paternal grandparents: Robert  {Rosa} Thompson of Charleston, SC; his fiancé: Alexis Faulk of Marion, SC; two sisters: Britney {Timothy} Grant of Florence, SC and Nichelle Ferris of Cicero, IL; three brothers: Kobe Brunson, Chase Brunson, and Christian Brunson all of Marion, SC; one nephew: Timothy Grant II of Florence, SC; two aunts: Crystal Ferris of Charleston, SC and Arra Fore of Marion, SC; three uncles: Elijah Lambert Brown of Marion, SC, Anthony {Rita} Ferris of Charleston, SC and Keith {Deceglia} Ferris of Webster, NY; his god-parents: Regina {Kelvin} Mack; special cousins that were like siblings: Tygee Ferris, DaQuan Washington, Jae’lan Fore and Raegan Fore. Myles cherished the many friendships he made throughout his life along with a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family of  Brother Myles Jordan Ferris in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 100 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Ferris family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
