Mollie Caesar Obituary

Mother Mollie Woodberry Caesar was 89, and departed this life on Wednesday June 24, 2020 in Florence County. She was the mother of Ralph Caesar, Clyde Caesar, Lonnie Caesar. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Friday July 3, 2020 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at the Old Neck Cemetery, Britton's Neck. The family will provide a guest list of 50 or less people. Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

On Wednesday, June 20, 2020, Sis. Mollie Caesar peacefully entered into everlasting life at the McLeod Hospice Care Center in Florence, SC.  She was born to the late Henry and Alice Woodberry on March 14, 1931 in Gresham, SC.  

Sis. Mollie was joined in Holy Matrimony for 51 years to Jimmie Caesar before his death in 2002.  From this union, three sons were born. 

Sis. Mollie was a true servant of God and served in many capacities at Bethel AME Church over the years.  She presided as the President of the Missionary and Willing Worker's Club.  She served on Senior Connection, Kitchen Committe, and as a Class Leader.  Se sang on the Adult, Senior, and Gosphel Choirs.  She was also a regular participant at the Britton's Neck Senior Citizens Center.  Sis. Mollie attended Marion County Public Schools and was employed in various industries before retiring from Sara Lee Hosiery.  She was stern but a dedicated loving person who was committed to the church and community service. 

Sis. Mollie was truly blessed.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jimmie Caesar; one grandson, Vick Caesar; three sisters, Marcenia Woodberry, Cora Moore, and Pollie Davis; three brothers, Clifton Woodberry, George Woodberry, and James Woodberry. She leaves to cherish her memory three sons, McClyde Caesar (wife Jewel Caesar) of Wilmington, NC, Lonnie Caesar (wife Linda Caesar) of Anderson, SC, and Ralph Caesar (wife Johnette Caesar) of Laurel, MD; nine grandchildren, Yuron Washington, Exavier Davis, Adrienne Wright, Gregory Caesar, Brandon Smiley, Johnelle Smiley, John Smiley, Antwan Reed, and Jayda Caesar; 21 great grandchildren, 2 goddaughters and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family of Mother Mollie Woodberry Caesar, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Caesar family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
