Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Morning Star Holiness Church, Marion, Saturday March 17, 2018 at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest in the Tabernacle AME Church Cemetery, Marion.

On May 10, 1943 in Marion, South Carolina, Mildred Davis was born to the late Fred Davis and Jerry Lee Reaves Davis. Mildred was called from labor to reward on Sunday March 11, 2018 while at home.
Mildred was raised in a loving home with parents who taught her the ways of the Lord. She accepted Christ as her savior at a young age.
Mildred went to the schools of Marion County but got her high school diploma from Marion Adult Education.
Mildred enjoyed going to church and singing on programs. She assisted in rearing children, was a missionary and had a telephone ministry calling and checking in on family members and others in the community who were sick and shut in. she also was called upon many times to sit with sick people.
Mildred is preceded in death by Jerome Donnelly , her special friend. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Booker T. Davis and Fred Davis Jr.
Mildred is remembered by her caretakers; her loving sister Leacy Davis Godbold, her niece Kimberly L.C. Godbold (Eddie D. Cochran), her special niece; Faith E. Quick of Miami Fl., her special relatives Luluwa Davis of Marion and Hazel Hightower of Charlotte, NC, her sisters in law; Florence Brown of Marion and Cathy Davis of Stewart Fl. She also leaves to cherish her memories her special relatives Shirley Williams of Marion, SC., her grand-niece Caroline G. Cochran of Atlanta, Ga., her grand-nephew Trey D. Quick of Las Vegas NV, Marie Dowell of Marion and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.
