Father Mallin L. Davis Jr. was 94, and departed this life Wednesday January 22, 2020 in Florence County. He was the grandfather of Milton Bell. You may visit the family at the home of his niece and nephew Larry and Jackie Pulliam at 132 Planters Ridge Court, Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethlehem AME Church, Rains on Sunday January 26, 2020 at 4:00 pm.

He will be laid to rest in the Florence National Cemetery, Florence on Monday January 27, 2020 at 10:00 am. 

~ Obituary ~

Brother M.L. Davis, Jr. was born in Zion, SC on June 27, 1925, to the late Mallin Lou Davis, Sr. and Ila Page Davis. 
He attended Marion County Public Schools and after completion of school he later then join the United States Navy as a cook.
He later returned home and married the love of his life, Freddie Mae Reed. To this union seven children were born, and three preceded him in death. 


He leaves to cherish fond memories Alphonso (Early) Davis of Pennsauken, New Jersey, Carl Eric (Vangie) Davis of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Vincent Davis of Rains, SC,
Four daughters; Margaret Crawford of Rains, SC and three preceded him in death Annie Mae Belton, Wanda Jones,Barbara Ann Davis of the home. A very special grandson Milton Leroy Bell who was his caregiver of the home. 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grands. Two special nieces Jacquelyn (Larry) Pulliam of Marion, SC and Elizabeth Rowell of Myrtle Beach, SC who took care of him.One sister Meredith Macfadden(deceased),
He also leaves to cherish memories three step sisters, Ms. Mildred Williamson, Joyce Lewis, and Linda Davis all of Rains, SC. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
