M. L. Howard Obituary

Father M.L. Howard, 91,  departed this life on Friday May 25, 2018 in Florence County. He was the father of Alice Conner, Cleveland Nance, Victor Howard, David Howard, Mae Dell and Glenentle. You may visit the family at 3312 Grady Rd. Mullins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Bethlehem AME Church, Rains, Friday June 1, 2018 at 3:00pm. He will be laid to rest in the St. James AME Church Cemetery, Marion.

Obituary
 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.         2 Timothy 4:6-8
 
Mr. M.L.  Howard departed this life on Friday May 24, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence S.C.  M.L. was born in Marion County to the late Dolly Howard and Jimmy Davis. 
 
 He attended the public schools of Marion County. He was married to the late Ethel Howard for 70+ years and to this union 5 children were born. 
 
 He was preceded in death by one son Mr. James Howard. M.L. was employed by Russell Stover Candies for 50 years and was self-employed as a plumber and handyman.
 
M.L.  leaves to cherish his memory to his three daughters:  Alice Conner of New York, Glenentle Wilson and Mae Dell Wilson both of Rains S.C.  Three sons Mr. Cleveland (Dora) Nance of Dillon SC, Mr. Victor (Mattie) Howard and Mr. David (Mary) Howard both of Marion SC.  A daughter-in law: Mrs. Doris Howard of Florence SC.  One loyal sister in law: Mrs. Eunice Bell of Rains SC.  Two special cousins: Freddie (Elaine) Howard and Minnie Jenkins.  15 grandchildren, 39 great-grand children, and 18 great-great grandchildren.  A special friend that he loved as a son: Mr. Sam Smith Jr. and a devoted caregiver Ms. Cleceria Owens. Also, a host of other relatives and friends.
