Lupearl Legette

Sister Lupearl Legette was 69, and departed this life Sunday February 2, 2020 in Florence County. She was the mother of Tammy Legette and Marcus Legette. You may visit the family at 7612 Castle Court, Gresham.

The funeral service for Sis. Lupearl Legette is scheduled to be held at Bethel AME Church in Britton’s Neck on Monday, February 10 at 1pm. Sis. Lupearl Legette will be laid to rest at the Old Neck Cemetery. 

~ Obituary ~

Lupearl Legette was born to the late Legrand and Lealer Legette on April 5, 1950. She departed this life on February 3, 2020 in Lake City, South Carolina.

Lupearl was the eighth of twelve children; five preceded her in death. She attended Bethel High School in Britton’s Neck. Lupearl was employed at Sand Dunces in Myrtle Beach for many years before retiring to care for her loving mother. She later joined Tabernacle on the Wilderness Church in Coward, SC where she was a faithful member.

Lupearl was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and godmother. She leaves to cherish one memories; two children: Tammy “Beana” Legette of Myrtle Beach and Markis “Dootsy” Legette of Gresham; a sister whom she loved as her own; Sylvia Moore; six grandchildren; Dajaun, Dajata, Brittany, Joshua, Alesha and Mae all of Conway, SC; four great grandchildren; Alannah, Skylar, Anbree and Aizaiah; one brother: Ernest (Lavoris) Legette of Britton;s Neck; six sisters; Elouise Finklea of Brooklyn, NY, Mamie Rogers and Juanita Bacchus off Britton’s Neck, Truly Woodberry of St. Paul, NC, Barbara Gause and Dorothy Anderson of Gresham, SC; one brother-in-law; Clyde Crosland of Dillons, SC.

Lupearl also cared fro nieces and nephews: Vivian Fi lea, Janice Burch, Della Legette, Myra Woodberry, Shadonna Anderson, Ebony Moore, Kayla Woodberry, Spencer Crosland, Wayne Legette, Willie Gause, Andre Legette, Adrian Moore, Deshaun Moore and Dongineil Moore. Special friends: Vikki Cox, Mamie Robinson, Angelon Graves, Mozenia Bacchus, Henriette Ceasar and Emma Lee Bacchus of Britton’s Neck, SC, Carolyn “Francis” Willis of Marion, SC and Charlene Osbourne of Coward, SC. Finally, Mrs. Dora Brown whom she loved as a mother.

There are a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who cannot all be named at this time. Just know that she loved and prayed for you all.
