Louise Moses Obituary

Mother Louise Moses, 79, departed this life Thursday September 5, 2019 in Florence County. She was the wife of Rufus Moses, the mother of Alicetine Sanders, James Moses, Furneshia Moses, Jennifer Dunkin and Sherwin Moses. You may visit the family at 2918 Foxworth Rd. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Greater Singletary AME Church Wednesday September 11, 2019 at 2:00 pm. She will be laid to rest in the Greater Singletary AME Church Cemetery, Wahee Community, Marion.

Mrs. Louise Graves Moses was born in Marion County, South Carolina on January 8, 1940 to the late Willie Hemingway and Alice Davis and was raised in the loving home of the late Mr. Foster and Mrs. L. B. Graves. Louise gained her wings on September 5, 2019 at 9:37 PM in McLeod Hospice House in Florence South Carolina.

Lousie attended the public schools of Marion County. She was a homemaker and seamstress for many years. She later in life joined Greater Singletary AME Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Louise worked faithfully until her health began to decline. She was a member of Usher Board No. 1 and the Women’s Missionary Society. Momma was very passionate about her flowers and her children. She could grow any plant that seemed impossible for others to grow.

Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law Martha Moses, two sons Clyde Graves and Robert N. Moses, one grandson Patrick J. Curry and son- in-law Frank Sanders.

Louise leaves to cherish her memories: her loving and devoted husband Rufus Moses(58 years) of the home, three daughters: Alice Tine Sanders and Furneshia Moses, of Marion SC; Jennifer (Tony) Dunkin of Columbia, SC, two sons: James (Lena Howard) Moses and Sherwin Moses of Marion, SC., six sisters Donnie (John) Watts, Alice (Royce) Perry, Lora Dean Grase (Shag), Shirley Reaves, Jean Carolyn (Willie) Workman, Deveda Williams, Deloris(T ommie) Miller. Three brothers, Hyman (Jackie) Owens, Vernel(Laverne) Owens, Charles(Marcia) Owens, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grands, whom she loves each dearly in her own unique way, sister in laws Lottie Mae Grant, Enda B. Patterson, Aunt Katie and Rethea Graves and a host of nieces, nephews, a loving community Mother (Ms. Lula Mae Sanders) , neighbors Nadine and Oscar, her nieces Helen Ransom and Shirley Davis, and her Greater Singletary AME Church Family and a host of dedicated loving Friends.
