Sis. Lizzie B. Swinney was 67, and departed this life on Tuesday September 8, 2020 in Marion County. She was the fiancée of Alfred Barr. You may visit the family at 303 S.Withlacoochee Ave. Marion. 

Graveside services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery, Marion on Wednesday September 16, 2020 at 11:00 am.

A Celebration of Life

Ms. Lizzie B. Swinney, affectionally known as "Liz" transitioned from life Tuesday morning, September 8, 2020 after a gradual decline in health.

Liz began life July 7, 1953, in Marion South Carolina. The only child of the late Leon Brown and Odessa Davis Brown; Liz extended her family with many loving and devoted friends.

Liz leaves to cherish precious memories a committed and compassionate fiance', Alfred Barr, Marion South Carolina; her best friend, Renee (Howard) Grant, Marion South Carolina; a special cousin who was like a sister, Vivian Davis; a special cousin who was like a brother, Edward Brown; aunts, cousins and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 

The family of Sis. Lizzie B. Swinney, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Swinney family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
