~ Obituary ~

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear” Psalm 27:1.

It’s a fact that life is uncertain; we are born to die; we are to watch and pray, and be ready to answer the Master’s call.

Miss Linda Gale Graves Sewell , daughter of the late Fred. T. Graves, Sr. and the late Esther Townsend Graves, was born on July 2, 1967 in Marion, S.C. On June 25, 2019, in her home in Brooklyn, New York, our Lord mercifully granted her the peace which surpasses all understanding as she departed this life.

She received her education in the Marion County School System and continued her education at The College of Charleston and Francis Marion University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Linda enjoyed a long career in Finance and Customer Relations. Linda loved “all things” fashion including styling and makeup artistry. In addition to fashion, she loved to cook and she loved spending time with her family.

Linda joined the Spring Branch Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she was baptized and served on the choir and usher board.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her two sisters, Connie Deloris Graves and Veronica Stoutamire and her oldest brother, Fred T. Graves, Jr.

Leaving to cherish her precious memories are her siblings: Barbara (Dr. Cleveland Huntley), Charlotte, N.C., Bettie (Dec. Melvin Thomas), James Graves (Earnestine), Queen (Lee Hughes), Ida (James Clark), Gary Graves (Geanoria), Robert Graves, Larry Graves, all of Marion, S.C. and Cleo Graves (Sirena) of Conyers, G.A.; three aunts, Laura Mae Hemmingway, Easter Mae Barr, Modesta Graves, all of Marion, S.C.; 1 Godson, nephew Quentin Hughes and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
