Lefonzo Billings

Brother Lefonzo Billings was 68, and departed this life Wednesday June 10, 2020 in Florence County. He was the cousin of James Gilchrist and the uncle of James Billings.

Memorial services are scheduled to be held the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Saturday June 20, 2020 at 9:00 am. The family will provide a guest list of 50 or less people. 

The Obituary

Lefonzo Billings was born May 20, 1952 in Mullins, South Carolina to the late Alfonzo Billings and Daily Billings. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday June 10, 2020 at McLeod Health Hospice, Florence South Carolina and has taken his eternal flight.

Lefonzo began his education in Marion County where he graduated in Mullins, South Carolina.

Lefonzo had a few passions, among spending time with family; “Fonz”, Lefonzo loved being a electrician, plumbing and gardening. Lefonzo loved spending time with nephew (Ray).

Lefonzo was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

He leaves to cherish his memories his beloved daughter: Chenelle Billings of Washington, a nephew James R. Billings of Mullins, South Carolina, two special cousins James Gilchrist and James Bristow of Mullins, South Carolina as well as a host of cousins and friends.

The family of Brother Lefonzo Billings, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Billings family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
