Brother Kalifa Avant was 49, and departed this life Wednesday May 17, in Charleston , SC. He was the father of Jah'Rena Williams, Teairra Crawford and Kalifa Avant Jr., the son of Billy Avant Sr. and Deborah Potts Blue.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Door of Hope Christian Church on Wednesday May 24, at 3:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Jackson & Daughters Cemetery.
