Jimmie Dell Boykin, the son of Ms. Louise Boykin Pickering of Buford, Georgia departed this life on Friday, October 29, 2021 at 7:20am at the McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC. He was born September 22, 1938 in DeLo, MS.

Jimmie was a member of the Good Hope A.M.E Church of Centenary, South Carolina but was humbly led by the Holy Spirit and became affiliated with the Now Faith Apostolic Church, Rains, SC in the early 2000s under the guidance of Pastor Ivory B Wilson. He accepted Christ as his savior and redeemer early in life and bestowed the same spiritual beliefs in his children, grandchildren and great-grands. He was a willing and dedicated member of the church until his health failed.

Jimmie was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Mrs. Mary Williams Boykin of Centenary, South Carolina and to this union 6 children were born.

He was preceded in death by two children, Mr. Timothy Jimmie Dell Boykin and Olivia Montiel Boykin.

He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: his mother Louise Pickering of Buford, GA, one brother Johnny Owens (Lula) of Buford, GA, one son James Williams (Janice) of Manassas, VA; three daughters, Cynthia Boykin of Marion, SC, Valerie Boykin of Charlotte, NC and Avis White (Larry) of Centenary, SC; 21 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, one nephew Mark Owens (Kesha) of Vancouver, WA, one niece, Jennifer Morgan (Issac) of Plainfield, NJ and 10 great nieces and nephews.
