Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Sunday May 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Greater Fork Chapel AME Church Cemetery. Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page. A guest list will be provided by the family.
Jevon Isiah Parker was born on January 11, 1994 in Marion County, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Isiah Parker Jr. and Cynthia Reaves Parker. He departed this earthly life on Sunday May 17, 2020 at McLeod Regional Hospital, Florence South Carolina.
Jevon attended church at Greater Fork Chapel A.M.E, Marion South Carolina, where he played the piano diligently. Jevon loved to sing various spiritual songs, but his favorite was “Come on and bless the Lord with me”. Jevon was also diverse in the music world and loved to rap and make his own music.
Jevon attended and graduated from Mullins High School in 2012. Jevon was very active while attending school, where he played the cymbals and he also played baseball. Jevon was also a member of the Knights of Pythagoras. Jevon was known to be very lovable, friendly and well mannered. Jevon was employed at Kelly Services at Blue Cross Blue Shield, Florence, South Carolina.
Those left to cherish the abundant life of Jevon I. Parker: Are his loving mother Cynthia R. Parker (Zion, SC), his loving daughter Jakayla Blue of Dillon County and his fiancé’ Shakeya Brockington of Lake City, South Carolina. His loving paternal grandmother Louvenia Parker of Mullins, SC; three aunts Diane Reaves of Zion SC, and Claudette Parker of Mullins, SC and Deborah Calhoun (Marion SC) ; two uncles Elder Edward C. Reaves (Latta, SC), Caston (Marketa) Reaves (Chesapeake V.A.); Great Aunts include; Dora Edwards (Fork, SC), Magnolia White (Marion, SC), Mildred Bryan (Mullins SC), Frances Edwards (Fork South Carolina). A special brother Devante Parker (Mullins, SC), a special sister Jazmine Reaves Hackett (North Carolina), and a Special cousin Isiah A. Davis “Elroy” and a host of other cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
The family of Brother Jevon Isiah Parker, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Parker family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
