Brother Jessie Ford was 63, and departed this life on Thursday April 15, 2021 in Florence County. He was the husband Kathy Dingle-Ford. You may visit the family at 112 B Spring St. Marion, SC 29571.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Henry L. Jackson Memorial Park on Saturday April 24, 2021 at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Devotion Gardens Cemetery, Mullins. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Mr. Jessie J. Ford, the son of the late David “Dock” Ford and Emma Jane “Page” Ford was born September 6, 1956 in Dillon, South Carolina.

Jessie attended and graduated from Latta High School in 1975. He enrolled in the United States Army where he served for four years. He received an associates degree in Business and Transportation Management from Florence Darlington Technical College. He worked with antiques for 35years. He was employed at Raytex Textile in Marion,SC and also employed with Murphy-Brown Smithfield as a Contract Grower until retirement in 2020.

He was preceded in death by three bothers: Ronnie J. Ford , Ralph Ford and David “Nuddy” Ford; one sister Rosezina B. Ford.

Left to cherish his precious memories are his loving wife, Kathy Dingle-Ford; his children: Jaquan Ford of the home, Alfred (Stacy) Green of Dillon, SC, Jessie Ford, Jr. of Greensboro, NC, and Justin Ford of Concord, NC; two grandchildren: Desmond Green and NyDeria Green; four sisters: Shirley Ford Ray of Sellers, SC, Christine (Jeffery) Wilson of Durham, NC, Betty Ford Reaves of Sellers, SC, and Doris Ford of Sellers, SC; one brother: Edward Ford of Dillon, SC; one aunt Mrs. Lula Mae McCrimmon of Cary, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends; three special friends: Robert Temoney , Jeffery Green and Tyrone Adams.

The family of Brother Jessie Ford in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Ford family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
