Jesse F. Hannah

Brother Jesse F. Hannah was 70, and departed this life Friday January 6, in Florence County. He was the husband of Rosie Hannah and the father of Jeffery Hannah, Danielle Hannah and Stephanie Hannah. You may visit the family at 2604 Veto Rd. Mullins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the CD Joyner Auditorium, Marion on Sunday January 15, at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Devotion Gardens Cemetery. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Brother Jesse Flemon Hannah departed this earthly life Friday, January 6, 2023 at MUSC of Florence, SC.

Jesse was born June 12, 1952 in Marion, SC to the late Ernest and Corine Hannah. He was a proud 1972 graduate of Rains Centenary High School. Jesse was employed as a Certified Machine Technician for 30 plus years with Sara Lee Hosiery. He was also an entrepreneur. He was the owner and operator of Hannah’s Paint and Body Shop until his health declined.

Jesse was a member of Bethlehem AME Church, Rains SC. He served as a member and one the lead singers on the Senior choir. He remained a faithful member until his death. Jesse sang with various gospel groups in Marion County. He was also one of the lead singers of the “Gospel Survivors”. Jesse loved to sing gospel music.

Preceding him in death; his parents Ernest and Corine Hannah, one brother Roland Tisdale II and two sisters Virginia Eaddy and Earliemae Shaw; four brothers-in-law Leon Fling, Aaron Fling, Adam Fling and Ricky Fling. 

Left to cherish his fond loving memories is the love of his life his wife Rosie Marie Hannah, their three children; Jeffery (Kia) Hannah of Philadelphia, PA., Danielle Hannah and Stephanie Hannah of Marion, SC. Nine grandchildren; Jesseca, Jeffery, Janiesha, Jacquaz, Jakayla, Jamie, Jaden, Ja’Liere and Justice. Three great grandchildren Journei, Princess and Chase. Five brothers; Ernest(Katleen) Hannah of Rocky Mount, NC, David(Marilyn) Hannah of Florence, SC, Joe Hannah of Philadelphia, PA, Jerry Hannah of Los Angeles, CA and Randolph Hannah of Marion, SC. One brother-in-law Ronnie Eaddy of Mullins, SC. Three sisters Hilda Tisdale of Marion, SC, Jerelene Hannah of Mullins, SC, and Debra(Ronnie) Fling of Mullins, SC. Four brothers-in-law; Rev. Monroe(Ruth) Fling of Marion, SC, Rev. John(Vivian) Fling of Camden, SC, Ronnie(Debra) Fling of Mullins and Leonue(Jenette) Fling of Dillon, SC. Four sisters-in-law Lillie Ann Rowell of Marion, SC, Geraldine Tisdale, Susan Fling, Martha Fling and Caralene Fling all of Marion, SC. A host of nieces, nephews and very close relatives and friends. Special children Tirrell Thompson, Marcus Grant, Waciana Johnson, Makeshia Johnson, Victoria James and Corine Hannah.

The family of Brother Jesse F. Hannah in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community,  will hold a 100 person or less funeral service for their loved one with interment immediately following. While the Hannah family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
