Jerome Harps Jr.

Brother Jerome Harps Jr was 68, and departed this life on Friday July 17, 2020 in Dillon County. He was the husband of Mamie Harps. 

Services are scheduled for Friday, July 31, 2020 at 11am at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel in Marion, SC

~ Obituary ~

Jerome Willard Harps, Jr. son of the late Jerome Willard Harps, Sr. and Mary Harps, was born February 22, 1952 in Marion, SC.

Jerome graduated from Marion High School, in Marion SC with the class of 1971. Jerome late moved to Patterson, NJ where he lived most of his adult life. He was employed by Butler Printing and Lamination Inc. as a machine operator for may years.

Jerome had became a 33rd degree mason and a member of Unity Missionary Church until his health began to fail. Jerome moved back to Marion, SC after spending much of his life in New Jersey.

He was married to Mamie C. Harps. To this union four children were born. 

Bro. Jerome W. Harps, Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, three siblings and all four of his children.

Those left to cherish Jerome’s fond and loving include his loving wife: Mamie C. Harps, brothers: Kenneth (Roz) Harps of Columbia, SC and Derrick Harps of Marion, SC; one sister: Marilyn Harps of Columbia, SC; three sisters-in-law of Marion, SC, one brother-in-law of Marion, SC, godchildren, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends who loved him.
