James Floyd Jr. Obituary

Brother James Floyd Jr. was 76 and departed this life Wednesday January 13, 2021 in Florence County. He was the husband of Louvenia Floyd, the father of Tami Dozier, James Floyd III, Sarah Carter, and Regina Eakins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Henry L. Jackson Memorial Chapel on Monday January 25, 2021 at 11:00 am. Services will be live streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

In the arms of his Angel, Mr. James Floyd Jr. departed this life on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at McLeod Health Medical Center.  James was born on June 17, 1944 and attended the Marion County Public Schools.  He was raised by a loving mother Sarah Johnson (deceased) and a caring father figure Robert Johnson (deceased), with help from a village of family and friends.  

James is preceded in death by Arnetha Moody (Sister) and Larry Floyd (Brother).

After 53 years of marriage, James leaves to cherish in loving memories his wife Louvenia H. Floyd; 3 daughters and 1 son:  Sarah of Philadelphia, PA; Regina (Joel) of Marion, SC; Tami (Keith) of Marion, SC; James III (Melinda) of Denver, NC;  7 grandchildren: Caiden, Labria, Jacinda, Keith, [Taylor, Darrien, Reagan (mother, Cher Hope)]; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives, and friends. 

The family of Brother James Floyd Jr. in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Floyd family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
