James Allen Crawford

Brother James A. Crawford was 77, and departed this life Friday September 29, in Marion County. He was the father of Travis Crawford. You may visit the family at 2102 Malibu Ct. Mullins.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Daily Word Outreach Church, Mullins on Saturday October 14, at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at St. James AME Church Memorial Garden. 

Obituary 

The late James Allen Crawford was born on December 25, 1945, to the late Katherine Legette and Clarence Crawford. He departed his life on Friday, September 29, 2023. In Marion County.

James attended Marion County Public School. He worked as a farmer and a carpenter until his health started to decline. James was a hardworking and kind man that would help anyone if he could. He enjoyed fishing and watching old western shows (cowboys).

MR. James is preceded in death by his parents: Katherine and Clarence Crawford, Six sisters: Veola Wilson, Vera Mae Crawford, Catherine Deloris Crawford, Gladys Deloris Crawford, Harriet Evon Crawford, Daryl Krofield Crawford, two half-sisters Lyndora Crawford, Bernice Crawford; four half-brothers: France Allen Crawford, Roosevelt Crawford, Booker T Crawford, and Randolph Crawford.

James leaves to cherish his fond memories: two sister Gladys Godfrey and Gloria Legette, four best friends David McNeil, George McNeil, DJ, and Thomas (peewee) Legette. 6 Children: Travis Crawford, Randy Jean Williams, James Palmer, Milton Palmer, Erica Palmer, and Gwen Howard: 4 grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins
