James Buey Jr.

Brother James Buey was 63, and departed this life Monday March 2, 2020 in Marion County. He was the husband of Pamela M. Pee, the father of Levon Evans, Teresa Evans, Lionel Graves, Travis Buey and Precious Buey. You may visit the family at 2803 Foxworth Rd. Marion. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be Tuesday March 10, 2020 at the Greater Fork Chapel AME Church at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Greater Fork Chapel AME Church Cemetery. 

~ Obituary ~

Mr. James Buey Jr. was born on September 13, 1956, one of six children to the late Wilhelmenia Buey Taylor and John Henry Grant. He departed this life on Monday, March 02, 2020 in the home after an illness. He attended Marion County Schools and graduated from Rains Centenary High School in 1977.

James joined Greater Fork Chapel AME where he became a faithful member and served on the usher board.

James spent most of his life working and taking care of his family. Having a desire to work, he became a farmer, a log truck driver, he worked with septic tanks, he worked for Pee Dee Block, the Brick Yard, and retired from Perdue. 

James became a member of the Raiders Saddle Club where he was known as “Bubba” “Ashcat” and “Big B”.

He was proceeded in death by his son Jeremy Buey. 

James leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Pamela M. Pee, children, Levon (Tankee) Evans, Marion, S.C, Teresa Evans, Connecticut, Lionel Graves, Marion, SC, special god son Nyeem McDaniel, Columbia, Travis Buey and Precious Buey of the home, Grandchild Ti-Erra A. Evans (Marion, S.C), Great- Grandchild, Cailyn A. Clark, Siblings, Evern (Valerie) Buey, Debra Gerald, Lee Richardson, Marion S.C., Deric Tyrone (Kisha) Richardson, Jacqueline Taylor all of Marion, SC,  John (Brenda) Grant (St. Petersburg, FL, Wilbur Williams (Venice, Fl, Minnie (Harvey) Brown, Lake City, S.C, Elnita (Jacob) Davis (Gresham, S.C), Joyce (Frank) Childs, Earlene DeLouch, and Jackie (Elliott) Blanchard all of of St. Petersburg, FL, Florence (Kenny) Bailey (Patterson, NJ), reared as a sister Josephine Vereen, reared as a brother Johnathan Vereen. In-Laws, Bill (Sharon) Nelson, Mullins, S.C, Mary Johnson, PA, Lillie Jarrott, Marion, S.C, Jerry Bethea, Myrtle Beach, S.C. Aunts; Virginia Vereen, Marion, S.C, Violet Grant and Gladys (Samuel) Hughes both of Gresham, S.C, Host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives, Raiders Saddle Club.
