~ Obituary ~
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: And there shall be no more death; neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain." Revelation 21:4
Mother Geneva Buey Graham lovingly known as "Neve" was born on August 29,1935 to the late Edward Buey Sr and Suzanne Finklea Buey. She departed this earthly realm of life on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at MUSC located in Marion.

Geneva attended the public schools of Marion County, South Carolina. She was employed with the University Tobacco Leaf Company for many years. She was also a very talented beautician who shared her skill and love for hair in various states.

Geneva surrendered her life to Christ in her early years at St. Mary AME in the St. Mary community of Marion SC.  She later joined the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Marion SC  where she served as a faithful member for numerous years.  She was very well known in the church for her fashionable outfits including her signature brim hats.
Geneva not only gave her time and service to the Lord, she gave her love and tender mercy to all.   "Neve" never met a stranger, she knew everybody.  She was affectionately called "Mame" by her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and loved ones.   She enjoyed cooking, but most importantly she was the glue that held her family together.  However, if fishing was involved there'd be no dinner, and the "glue" was missing.

Geneva  was preceded in death by her husband, the late Joe T. Graham along with her two children, Malissa Davis and Mark Cain.  "Neve" was also a mother to the community. She helped raise many children, besides her own, with pride and devotion, making every visitor to her home feel more cheerful for having spent time in her presence.
Geneva leaves her beautiful and precious memories to cherish to her sister Mary Louise Davis, her three loving grandchildren, Juba Buey, Natasha Davis, and LaShawna Davis, all of Marion, SC.  Eleven great grandchildren, Three great great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and supportive friends who all loved her dearly.

The family of Mother Geneva Graham in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following.
