The family of Brother Franklin Grant Jr., in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Grant family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
Brother Franklin Grant Jr. was 78, and departed this life Saturday April 25, 2020 at his home in Marion County. He was the husband of Ida Mae Grant. You may visit the family at 804 Phillips Court, Marion.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Friday May 1, 2020 at 9:00 am. He will be laid to rest in the Florence National Cemetery, Florence, SC. The family will provide a guest list of 50 or less people.

Franklin Grant. Jr. was born on December 7, 1941 in Marion, South Carolina to Franklin Sr. and Bessie Mae Grant.
He grew up in Marion and was drafted into the United States Army in 1964. After his discharge he went on to raise his family in Marion.
Franklin passed away on April 25, 2020 at home after an illness.
Mr. Grant is survived by his wife; Ida Mae Grant of the home, two children: Yolanda Grant and Marcus (Tassie) Grant, four grandchildren; Shamal (Briana) Grant, Antonio (Jasmine) Grant, Marcus Grant, Jr. and Briyana Grant, five great-grandchildren ; Skylar, Shalayah, Tyrell, Shamari and Arlo, one brother; Harold (Annie Mae) Grant and many more nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
