John 11:25-26 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.  And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.  Do you believe this?”

Frank Latigue, 81, of Marion, SC, passed away on November 14, 2020 at MUSC of Marion, SC surrounded by his immediate family.

Frank was born on June 14, 1939 to Adam Ernest and Louvenia Daniel Latigue in Crowley, Louisiana. After graduating from Crowley High School, he was drafted into the United States Army where he fought in the Vietnam War as a front-line gunner.

After Vietnam, he was stationed at the Fort Bragg Military Base in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.  During his time at Fort Bragg, he would visit Marion, SC some weekends where he met his now wife, Wilma Ruth Hendley Latigue.  They were married on March 15, 1972 while he was still in the Army.  Shortly after becoming married, Frank received an honorable discharge from the Army and made Marion, SC his home.  Frank went to work at, Mullins Lee Tobacco Factory, Rockwell Industries, and finally Dupont of Florence, SC where he retired.  During Frank and Wilma’s union, they were blessed to celebrate the birth of two children, Tanaya Jeanette Latigue (38) and Lamont Latigue (33).

Upon marriage, Frank followed his wife, Wilma, and joined Sandy Grove Holiness Church where he served as a church trustee and sung on the Voices of Praise Choir.  Later, Frank and Wilma joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he sung on the Male Chorus Choir.

Frank will be most remembered by his daughter, Jeanette, for his daily morning text with encouraging words or a scripture.  He will be most remembered by his son, Lamont, for sharing life lessons and discussing the bible.  Frank and Wilma share a host of memories, but Wilma will remember most the bond they had and the quality time they spent together daily.

Frank is predeceased by his parents, Adam Ernest and Louvenia Daniel Latigue, Joseph Latigue (brother), Irvin Latigue (brother), Adam Latigue (brother), Barbara Latigue Young (sister), Shirley Jeanette Latigue Jones (sister), and Deborah Marie Latigue (sister).  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Wilma Ruth Hendley Latigue, his two children, Tanaya Jeanette Latigue and Lamont Latigue, his brother, Richard James Latigue, and his sisters, Patricia Latigue (Mack) Johnson, Dorothy Latigue (Walter) Dennis, and Judy Latigue (Robert) Johnson, a very special nephew, Leroy Brown, and two godchildren, Damien and Diamond Gerald.
