Sister Esther Mae Reed was 87, and departed this life Thursday November 3, 2022 in Dillon County.

Graveside services are scheduled to be held at the Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery, on Thursday November 10, 2022 at 11:00 am. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Esther Mae Reed departed this life on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at the age of 87 years old.  Esther was born on September 21, 1935 to the late Clarence Reed, Sr and the late Mary Davis Reed both of Centenary, SC.  She was the oldest of four children, her brother, Clarence Reed, Jr. preceded her in death.

Esther grew up in the Centenary Community where she attended school in her early years.  Esther was very Special to her Family and the Community.  She lived in a very close and nurturing environment supported by many neighbors and friends.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories, two Sisters, Delores R. (Willie) Davis, East Orange, NJ and Mary L. Reed (Peter) Learmont, Orange, NJ.  Beloved Supporters, Graylon (Virginia) Carmichael, Nephew and Harry (Jean) Legette, Cousin, Marion, SC and a host of Family (Nieces, Nephews, Cousins), Friends and Loved ones.

The family of Sister Esther Mae Reed in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community,  will hold a 100 person or less funeral service for their loved one with interment immediately following. While the Reed family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
