Eddie Campbell Obituary

Brother Eddie Campbell, 58, departed this life Wednesday August 28, 2019 in Florence County. He was the husband of Louise Campbell. You may visit the family at 1000 Strawberry St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Mt. Zion AME Church, Zion, Sunday September 1, 2019 at 3:00 pm. He will be laid to rest in the Florence National Cemetery on Tuesday September 3, 2019 at 1:00 pm.

Mr. Eddie Thurman Campbell, also known as “Cam” to many, departed life on August 28, 2019 at McLeod Hospice House in Florence, SC.

Eddie was born March 20, 1961 in Marion, SC to the late Geneva Campbell. He received his education in the Marion County public school systems in 1979. After high school, Eddie joined the United States Army. He later received a degree in Culinary Arts from Clark College. He was loved by many, especially in the Zion community.

Eddie was joined in Holy Matrimony to Louise Harvey Campbell.

Eddie was preceded in death by his mother Geneva Campbell; sister, Lucille Garner; three brothers, Oscar “Sonny” Campbell, Henry Campbell, and Charlie Campbell.

Eddie leaves to cherish his fond memories: his wife, Louise H. Campbell of the home; mother-in-law, Mary L. Williams; two daughters, Jantorial (Patrick) McClellan and Trina (Marcus) Samuels of Marion, SC; two step-sons, Antonio Harvey of Mullins, SC and Ivan Brigman of Vancouver, WA; one sister, Edna Hodge of Mullins, SC; one brother, James (Shirley) Campbell of Zion, SC; three sister-in-laws, Eloise Campbell, Mary Campbell, and Shalonda (Junior Mack) Reaves; one aunt, Florence brown; six grandchildren, Ja’Nia & Na’Kia Hannah, Nasir & Juelz Samuels, Hannah McClellan, and Breanna Johnson all of Marion, SC; three whom he raised as grands, KaMeisha, Makerah, and Kamaurion; one very special friend, Levon “PJ” Roberts; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
