Doris Jean Green

Sister Doris Jean Green was 66, and departed this life Thursday September 16, 2021 in Florence County. She was the mother of Eric Green, Chantel Green and Stephanie Green. You may visit the family at 1806 B J Court Dillon, SC 29536.

Graveside services are scheduled to be held at the St. James AME Church Cemetery on Saturday October 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. Services will be live-streamed on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page. 

~ Obituary ~
Ms. Doris Jean Green, 66, passed on September 16, 2021 at Mcleod Medical Facility, approximately 10:05pm. Her Funeral Memorial service will be HELD at the St. James Cemetery, Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 2:00pm. 
 
  Mrs. Doris Jean Green was born in Marion, SC on July 23, 1955. She is the daughter of the late Mr. Zack Royster Reed and Mrs. Hatie Mae Cottle. She is survived by her three children; Eric Javarus Green, 40, Chantel Renae Green, 34, Stephanie Eyvonne Green, 33, and one grandchild; Triniti Imani Green, 12.

  She was a faithful member of St James A.M.E Church where she was a member of the Adult choir. She also aided her Clergy and congregation by preparing and serving Holy Communion. 
  Ms Doris Green had an unwavering faith in God. She loved God and she loved her family. She could never meet a stranger. If she did meet a stranger, she would always tell them about God.
   She enjoyed cooking for her family and enjoyed watching her cooking shows. She was always excited about home interior decor and loved doing her own landscaping and yard designs. She had a passion for floristry and antiques. She created beautiful things with her hands.

  She was such a strong, beautiful woman. She will be sorely missed by all of her family; sisters and brothers, near and far. She was kind to everyone and she loved her children very much. Her memory and her spirit will be with us forever. 
   May her name be written in the book of life, FOREVER.
 

The family of Sister Doris Jean Green in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Green family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
