Introduction:

Darlene Patrice Legette was born on November 24th, 1967, in Marion, South Carolina. She was born to Sidney Legette and Patricia Fore Legette. Darlene was the youngest of their seven children and the only girl.

Bio:

Darlene accepted Christ at an early age under the guiding hands of her parents. She attended Marion public schools and graduated from Marion High School in the class of 1986. During her time in high school, she played on the basketball team and played the clarinet in the band. She represented the Marion Swamp Foxes High school to the fullest. Shortly after graduating high school, she worked for various banks as an accountant for 20-plus years.

She was a fearless and loving individual who made many memories living between South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Texas throughout the years. She was blessed with two loving children, Richard Diaz and Darlecia Adams.

Known for her quick wit and larger-than-life personality, she showed us how to live, love, and be ourselves unapologetically. Faithful 49ers fine, and she would let you know it. No matter the event, situation, or scenario, "Sweet" Darlene was sure to show up but most importantly, show out!

On July 27th, 2022, her earthy party transitioned into an eternal one, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and joy.

She was preceded in death by parents, Sidney and Patricia Legette, brothers Milton "Tuffy," McKeiver "Danny," Samuel "Duck," and Joe-Nathan.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, Son, Richard Diaz, Daughter, Darlecia Adams, three granddaughters, Kendell Diaz, Leilani Diaz, Anova Grice, two brothers, Sidney Legette and Clifton (Jacqueline) Legette, one sister, Patty (Peter)McNatt, and a host of family and friends.

The family of Sister Darlene Patrice Legette in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state, and local community,  will hold a 100 person or less funeral service for their loved one with interment immediately following. While the Legette family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly, and those with chronic health conditions.
