Sis. Connie Deloris Burgess,54, departed this life on Saturday March 3, 2018 in Florence County. She was the wife of George Burgess and the mother of Danny Davis, George Michael Burgess, Ashley Burgess and Danny Davis Jr. You may visit the family at 601 E. Fairlee St. Marion.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Word of Life Christian Center 201 Bobby Gerald Blvd. Marion on Friday March 9, 2018 at 2:00pm. She will be laid to rest in the Sunset Memorial Gardens, Marion.

Connie Deloris Burgess was born on October 17, 1963. She departed her earthly life on Saturday March 3, 2018. She was born and raised in Marion County to Dorothy Davis and the late Michael Green, Sr.

Connie graduated from Marion High School in 1981. Connie was known for her cooking and decorating. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren: Little Danny and Bentley.

She is preceded in death by her daughter; Danielle Davis, brother Jerome Davis, sister Shelia Williamson, a very special aunt Cynthia Ann Foxworth.

Connie leaves to cherish her loving memories; her  devoted husband George Burgess, two sons; Danny Davis and George-Michael Burgess, a daughter Ashley Burgess, her loving mother; Dorothy Davis, two grandchildren; Danny Davis Jr. and Bentley Reaves. Five brothers; Michael Davis, Cliff Davis, James Ransom, Donnie Knowlin and Michael Green Jr., special cousin; Darryl Foxworth, four sisters; Teresa Wilson, Tammie Todd, Kelley Green and Lisa Green, three god-sisters; Cynthia Ann Davis, Cynthia Williams and Michele Washington. Five sisters-in-law; Bonnie Grice, Betty Johnson, Ernestine Nichols, Vicki (Ruth) Johnson and Alene Burgess, a special uncle; Shavis Foxworth, one aunt; Sally Henderson, special friends; Debra Williamson and Linda Emanuel and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
