Clyde Gause Obituary

The family of Brother Clyde B. Gause, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Gause family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.

Brother Clyde B. Gause was 75, and departed this life Sunday April 19, 2020 in Marion County. He was the father of Tammy Shird and Clyde Gause Jr. You may visit the family at 900 Strawberry St. Marion.

Graveside services are scheduled to be held at the Devotion Gardens Cemetery on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at 12:00 pm. The family will provide a guest list.

~ Obituary ~ 

Clyde Booster Gause Sr. was born October 9, 1944 to the late Willie and Maggie Gause. Clyde entered into eternal life on Sunday April 19, 2020. Brother Clyde was raised in Marion County, he was educated in local public school in Latta, South Carolina. In his earlier years he worked at Marion Memorial Hospital, after providing 35 years of loving service, brother Clyde retired and pursued his painting career. Clyde attended Bethel AME Church in his younger years but, he later became a devoted member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Being sure to never miss a Sunday service.

Clyde Booster Gause Sr. was preceded in death by his late wife Daisymae Mckenzie Gause and his four brothers and one sister: Willie Gause, Graham Gause, Aruther Gause, Katherine Gause and Lacy Gause.

He leaves behind two children; Clyde B. Gause Jr. (Maxcine) of Alabama, Tammy L. Gause Shird (Antonio) of Marion South Carolina, two grandchildren Alize Smith, Trinity Smith and his two great grands Kendrex J. Franklin III and Zayden Josiah Smith.

He also leaves behind two brothers Rev. Fred and his wife the late (Mary) Gause of Columbia, South Carolina. Dennis (Linda) Gause of Thomasville, North Carolina. Four sisters; Rosa (Allen) Morris of New Jersey, Virginia (Herman) McClellan, Juanita Darby, Shirley Emmanuel, all of Marion, South Carolina. One close friend, Rev. David Fore and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
