Brother Cleveland Lorenzo Adams was 58 and he departed this life on Saturday, June 6 in Florence County. He was the brother of Daniel Adams, the father of Cleveland Adams and Angelica Adams 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Saturday June 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at the Jackson & Daughters Cemetery. The family will provide a guest list. Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Obituary

Cleveland L. Adams departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 6, 2020 at McLeod Hospice in Florence, South Carolina. He was born in Marion County on August 6, 1961 to the late Cleve  and Blanche Adams.

He was educated in the Marion County public schools in Marion, South Carolina and a graduate in the class of 1981. After graduation Cleveland worked at Russell Stover’s Candies until it closed and later he worked in Construction until his health failed. He loved working with his brother, Daniel building porches and roofs.

Preceding Cleveland in death along with his parents; a brother: Minister Lenneau Adams. 

Cleveland leaves to cherish his loving memories ~ his children: Angelica Adams, Cleveland Alonda Adams both of Marion, SC, Annalicia {Thomas} Williams of Albany, NY, Travis Williams of Florence, SC; one sister: Nichole Adams of Marion, SC; two brothers: Daniel {Lisa} Adams of Florence, SC, William {Cecil} Johnson of Brooksville, FL; three sisters-n-law: Emma Williams, Patrice Moody and Sharon Adams all of Marion, SC; six grandchildren: Ke’Vyon Adams, Ka’nyaihe Adams, Mariah Gilchrist,  KiAusha Briscoe all of Marion, SC, Travis Williams of Florence, SC, Prince {Xavier} Thomas of Albany, NY; a special aunt: Annie Mason of the home; special cousin /like a sister: Regina R. Kilgoe of Boston, MA; his aunts: Elizabeth Adams Roswell of  Boston, MA, Effie A. Avant, HazeltineDavis, Annie Smith, Katherine D. Hyatt, Brenda {Izeall} Wilson all of Marion, SC, Lizzie Prioleau of Marietta, GA, Mary {Wilbert} Cherry of Florence, SC, Sharon Adams of Boston, MA, Christa {Alvin} Edwards of Latta, SC; uncles: Frank Adams of Boston, MA, Cato {Patrice} Adams of  Brockton, MA, Jonathan Adams of  Marion, SC, Clayton Rowell of  Boston, MA, Rufus Davis of Marion, SC and a  host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  

The family of Brother Cleveland Lorenzo Adams , in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Adams family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
