Christine Rena Richardson

Sister Christine Rena Richardson was 55, and departed this life on Tuesday June 23, 2020 in Florence County. She was the wife of Charles Richardson. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Monday June 29, 2020 at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at the Florence National Cemetery. the family will provide a guest of 50 or less people. Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page.

Mrs. Christine Rena Grant Richardson of Marion, SC exchanged time for eternity on Tuesday June 23,2020 at MUSC Hospital Florence, SC with her family by her side.                                                                            

Christine was born on August 25,1964 to the late Haggard and Hazel Lee Crawford Grant .                                                          

At an early age she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and became a member of Bethlehem AME Church in Rains, SC

Affectionately known as Buffy, she attended Marion County Public School and was a graduate of TBHS Class of 1983 in Centenary, SC. She was a member of TBHS Cheerleader squad. After high school Buffy journeyed to Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology where she became a SC State Licensed Cosmetologist.

She ventured onto McDonald’s where she became an accountant in Florence, SC. Buffy was full of love and laughter.

Buffy married Charles Richardson, they were the parents of Charnice Rena and grandparents of Santana Kobe. Buffy enjoyed shopping at Ross her favorite store and eating at City Grill in Florence, her favorite restaurant.

Loved ones who will cherish her memories are: Charles Richardson, husband, Charnice Richardson, daughter, and grandson Santana Kobe; Dorothy Grant Deas, sister Rains, SC; brothers Clayton Grant and Tracy (Marie) Grant all of Marion, SC;  mother-in-law Flossie Richardson Marion SC; aunts Judy (Lester) Legette of Ellerbe Heights, SC; Georgia Lee Davis of Newark, NJ; Annie Mae Richardson, Mullins, SC; Brenda Richardson sister-in-law; nephews Maurice Grant, Eric McFadden and Jeremey Richardson; and niece Lattia Richardson all of Marion, SC; a special friend and sister Wanda (Arnette) James; Godsons Arnette IV (Erika) and Alex James; and one God grandson all of Florence,SC; other special friends: Angie Hill and Shawn Gregg; and a host of cousins, other relative and dear friends.

The family of Sister Christine Rena Richardson, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Richardson family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
