Brother Charles Clinton was 68, and departed this life on Thursday July 30, 2020 in Florence County. You may visit the family at 237 Summit Place, Marion. 

Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Sunday August 9, 2020 at 3:00 pm. The family will provide a guest list of 50 or less people. Services will be live stream on the Jackson & McGill Facebook Page. 

~Obituary~

Mr. Charles Clinton was born on November 21, 1951 in Florence County.  Mr. Charles Clinton was the son of Beatrice Echols Clinton and the late James Clinton.  Mr. Charles Clinton graduated from Wilson High School in 1970, he attended Clemson and completed his studies at Florence Darlington Technical College.  He was a member of The House of God Keith Dominion in Florence, SC.  Although, he worked various jobs in his earlier years Mr. Charles Clinton worked at Vulcraft as one of the first African American Draftsmen, Mechanical Drawing teacher at Wilson High School and Bus Supervisor for Florence District One.  Behind the scenes, he drew up floor plans and modeled homes for construction.  Mr. Charles Clinton was known for his intellect, many talents and swag.  He also was a former member of Morning Light Lodge #430, LE Hyman Chapter RAM #42, H & B Command, Bejilah Temple #163 in Marion, SC, and Worship Master of Charles Clinton Lodge #470.

Mr. Charles Clinton departed this life on Thursday, July 30, 2020 from sicknesses he suffered throughout the years.

         Mr. Charles Clinton leaves behind his mother Beatrice, his children Charles L. Clinton (Detrice) of Darlington, SC, Charletta Clinton-Glenn (Willie) of Marion, SC, his step daughter Flissa McEachern (Freddie) of Marion, SC, and his former wife Doris Smith Clinton of Marion, SC.  He also leaves his grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family of Brother Charles Clinton, in consideration of the current health crisis facing our world, nation, state and local community, has decided to hold a private 50 people or less, family only, funeral service for their loved one with private interment immediately following. While the Clinton family would love to be surrounded by your presence, they acknowledge the health risks to family, church members, friends, and particularly to those who are most vulnerable to this disease, the elderly and those with chronic  health conditions. What the family needs most at this time are your prayers and understanding. Thank you for your concern and cooperation.
