Brother Changa Kwame Muata was 51, and departed this life Wednesday April 19, in North Carolina.
Funeral services are scheduled to be held at the Jackson & McGill Memorial Chapel on Sunday May 7, at 2:00 pm. He will be laid to rest at Jackson & Daughters Cemetery.

Changa Kwame Muata (AKA Edward Parsley) departed this life on Wednesday, April 19, 2023. He was the son of Frances Parsley Wilson and the late Earl Wilson.
Changa was educated in the public schools of Marion County, South Carolina and graduated from high school in Marion. As a young child he was a member of St. John A.M.E. Church in Marion.
Changa had a “village” who were instrumental in raising him during his early years - his grandmother, Eva Parsley Isreal, and his great aunts, Erma Parsley, Fannie Parsley DeWitt, and Sarah Parsley Fogan.
Changa worked as a laborer in many manufacturing companies. At the time of his death, he was employed at Georgia Pacific.
Changa leaves to cherish loving memories his mother, Frances Parsley Wilson: a son Diari Graham; one brother: Robert (Erica) Parsley of Castle Haynes, NC; one sister:
Lakeena Wilson of Horry County, SC; another sister, Ursula Wilson-Campbell and another brother, Brian Wilson both of Atlantic City, NJ.; and a host of other relatives
and friends.
