Brenda Wilson Obituary

Sister Brenda Wilson was 65, and departed this life on Thursday July 16, 2020 in Florence County. She was the mother of Dantz Woodberry.

Graveside services are scheduled to be held at the Greater Singletary AME Church Cemetery on Wednesday July 22, 2020 at 11:00 am.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

Brenda, a soldier of God’s army, slipped away to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at MUSC Carolinas Hospital System in Florence, South Carolina.

    She was born December 13, 1973 to the late Christa and Cleve Adams, Sr. She was a 1974 graduate of Marion High School and furthered her education at Florence Darlington Technical College with a degree in Human Resources. She was employed with Marion Dillon Drug & Alcohol Abuse and Marion County Disabilities Commission for over 20 years. As a young girl she joined Greater Singletary A.M.E. Church and later joined Monument of Faith Christian Faith in Marion, South Carolina. She was a member of Star of Bethlehem Tent #30 where she served as Junior Worthy Matron.

    As she left, there is a space only God can fill. She leaves with many devoted memories of 44 years her husband, Isiah Wilson; two loving children, her daughter, Dantz Nyree (John) Woodberry of Columbia, South Carolina and Master Gunnery Sergeant Antonio Wesley (Heidi) Wilson of Norfolk, Virginia. She will be missed by her great granddaughter Sloan Inez J. Taylor, her grandchildren Tatyanna, Jalen, Tajuan, Rajuan, Ashlyn, Devin, Kailyn, Rilyn, Dillyn, Jaydin, Romin, Brenin, and Adalyn. Special children/grandchildren Sharon and Makayla Davis, Alexandria, Andria, Andrienne, Antonio, Andrew, Alexia, Donovin, Ashara, Kameron, Tayler, Carter, Ava Mae, and baby Malakai and Nathaniel. Also, fond memories remain with her sisters Hazeltine Davis, Christa (Alvin) Edwards, Katherine Hyatt, Lizzie Prioleau, Effie Adams, Elizabeth Adams and brothers, Lee Edward (Alberta)Davis, Rufus Davis, Clayton Rowell, Cato (Patricia) Adams, and Jonathan Adams. Three sisters and five brothers preceded her in death, Barnette Sellers, Doretha Davis, Annie Smith, Cleveland Adams, Frank Adams, Master Adams, and Winston Raleigh  Adams.  She also leaves her mother in-law Martha Wilson whom she cherished, 6 sisters in law, 2 brother in laws and their families, many many more nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, special girlfriends, and bonus daughter Lisa Davis who shared her life.
